Now what?

Mozilla, Mozilla, Firefox everywhere! OK, so I downloaded the damn thing. Looks just the same, appears to do the same thing IE does and loads slower on my comp. So what's the big deal?

For one, the fact that you can have multiple tabs in the same window instead of many diff windows - this was what won me over!

Better for security (doesn't load Active X controls), live bookmarks (I don't use this, but my friends rave abt it), built in google bar, easier downloading of files..

Supposed to be really cool if you want to customize your browser, but haven't gotten there yet.

No, they don't pay me for spreading the word.

This is one topic on which i can write pages. Anyway will keep it short. For starters check out this page- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozilla_Firefox

1. Tabbed browsing experience. IE7 is going to support and Opera allready supports it. Although Firefox does rock.
2. Pop-up blocker. Also present in opera 8 now. A must have feature in the browsers today.
3. An amazing list of nifty addons and plugins(which grows daily) you can install for keeping check on rss feeds to blogging to anything. https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/?application=firefox
4. You can absolutely customize the whole browser via config settings.
one insider trick. type this "about:config" (without quotes) in url add bar and see the all the options you can tweak.
5. An absolutely awesome listing of skins to themes readily available for usage.
6. Cut to the point. Its faster better and more advacned than other browsers.

Hope this helps for starters in clearing out ur queries.

Thanks, guys. Yes, these multiple tabs and live bookmarks are great. Google toolbar, I already had on my desktop. What are Active X controls? I hereby resolve to be a power user.
